The background art on Streetcar Suburb's rules and board is licensed from a third party and may not be redistributed, modified, remixed, or used to create derivative works.

Besides this background art, Streetcar Suburb is licensed under the Creative Commons non-commercial license (BY-NC), with the following added permission:

Non-profit organizations or individuals advocating to remove single-family zoning, increase housing density, or increase mass transit infrastructure may distribute or sell Streetcar Suburb and derivative works for advocacy or fundraising purposes. In such cases, Section 3.a. of the License "Attribution" does not apply, and such non-profit organizations or individuals need not identify the creator or link to Streetcar Suburb.


This page contains versions of all game materials without licensed art, which you can modify, remix, and redistribute freely for non-commercial purposes as described above.

Advocacy


You can use and modify Streetcar Suburb as a tool for local advocacy. You can change the name and theme to match whatever type of advocacy applies to your town, and you don't need to credit me or refer to Streetcar Suburb. Streetcar lines can become bike lanes or bus routes; buildings can be affordable housing, commercial space, or whatever else your town needs.


Here's an example of a customized version advocating for zoning reform and buses in Levittown.
